Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain Feline Grain-Free Canned Cat Food

I have two cats, the oldest being 14. After a slow transition from their previous food and three weeks on Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain, my eldest cat developed chronic constipation. After three vet visits and one enema I have returned to the previous dry cat food I was feeding. The fibre content in Taste of the Wild is not as high as the previous cat food I used. This food may be good for a young cat, but watch the older ones.

My two 12 year old cats also developed chronic constipation after being switched to Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain. Initially they liked the food but after being on it for a month both cats began eating significantly less food and seemed not to be feeling quite right. After one of the cats began to have blood in her stool, I took her to my vet. He said that she seemed to be constipated and had me give her a laxative for a couple times. When I compared the fiber content of the TOTW food and found it was lower than their previous dry food, I switched them back and both cats are now fine.

Just today switched out cats to Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain formula, both cats are eating it up like it’s the best thing they have ever tasted. Previously they were eating Iams and for not that much more money they are definitely eating a higher quality food. Hoping to see some long term health benefits from the switch!

I adopted my cat from a local shelter. He came home with science diet for sensitive cats. The person at the shelter said he had a sensitive stomach but assured me that once I got him home and on one specific food he would be fine. However that did not happen. I have had other cats in the past but Jax was the first cat that I ever had with constant diarrhea and passed gas all the time. It was brutal!
I took him to the vet. He passed the exam with flying colors. The vet suggested that I put him on a better food. To my surprise, science diet has a lot of “crap” in it. To make a long story short, I started doing research over the internet and found many wonderful reviews about taste of the wild especially for mommies and daddies of kittys with sensitive stomachs. It was the best move I could have ever made. First, the diarrhea and gas stopped immediately. Second, the food is so wholesome and as much as he loves it he does not gobble it up as fast as he did the other foods. His build is perfect. He is trim but muscular. Third, his eyes sparkle and his coat is beautiful! His coat glistens under the light inside the house. And, get this – Jax likes both flavors in the green bag and the tan bag and both canned foods. As long as they sell it I will buy it for him. I will never feed him anything else!!
