The volunteers and staff at Pet ResQ are dedicated to finding the perfect home for each loveable pooch who is available through their adoption website. Pet ResQ goes to great lengths to make sure that no pet is left unwanted or abandoned, and you will often here of this group “flying in” dogs from all over the country. These dogs are often rescued from high kill shelters and brought here to NJ in hopes of finding their forever homes. Pet ResQ offers great advice for potential adopters and provides them with the skills, love and patience needed to take care of previously abandoned and special needs dogs.

Rescue Ridge is a last chance dog and cat rescue saving pets by the New Jersey shore. We save animals in shelters and strays in NJ. PAWS operates as a highly responsive and flexible animal rescue group. Our sanctuaries, along with our strong fostering network, enable us to continue sheltering a limited number of animals in need, often “bully breed” dogs. At any given time, we typically care for about 10 dogs and up to 100 cats and kittens. We provide critical services to the local north Jersey communities, and also assist overcrowded shelters throughout NJ. PAWS connects people and animals, helping in numerous ways:

Amazon Smile is a program from amazon that donates .5% of what you purchase to the charity of choice that you have selected under your account. Nothing changes for you and it applies to normal amazon and amazon prime accounts. Select your charity and go to to purchase items. That's all you have to do. To select a charity go to and if you don't have any selected it should ask you to select one. In order to help out Jersey State Animal Rescue (who I volunteer for) search for Jersey State Feline Fanciers Inc. It should come up as your only selection if you enter that in the search box. They are located in Atco, NJ. This is an FYI to my facebook friends if you don't have a charity that you are loyal to I would appreciate you considering Jersey State Feline Fanciers. I can vouch what a great charity it is-a no kill cat shelter. The Cat's Meow is a 501(c)3 non-profit cat rescue organization based in Delran, NJ. They operate out of volunteer foster homes, and they have cats and kittens for adoption in partnering pet stores in the area.
