Chicago-Area Cats, Dogs & Other Pets Up For Adoption (12/15)

Have you ever seen an adorable cat or kitten up for adoption and featured on your local news channel? Those great cats and kittens aren’t rare finds! They are the norm, and just about everywhere – including right here in Chicago – there are too many pets and not enough homes choosing to adopt them. Unfortunately, many animals are still not spayed or neutered resulting in thousands of unwanted cats and kittens each year.

CHICAGO — You'll be able to see — and even adopt — more than 100 puppies, kittens, dogs and cats if you're in the Gold Coast this weekend.

Chicago Cat Rescue is dedicated to helping homeless cats and kittens via rescue, adoption and education of their human companions. Chicago Cat Rescue is an all volunteer-run organization, and we rely on compassionate individuals in our community to foster our rescued cats until they find their forever homes.

Chicago Cat Rescue is unique in that all of our animals available for adoption are cared for in private foster homes. Foster homes make a great scenario for you to meet and mingle with your potential furry friend(s). A casual, home setting brings out the best in our cats and helps you gain a true sense of their personalities and temperaments. All of our foster homes are located in Chicago and provide flexible schedules to accommodate appointments with potential adopters.
