How to Adopt | Clear Creek Cat Rescue

is an animal rescue / foster / adoption organization located in Anchorage, Alaska Over the years, Clear Creek Cat Rescue has rescued cats from most of the shelters in southcentral and the Kenai Peninsula—Houston shelter, Mat-Su shelter, Anchorage shelter, Seward shelter, Kenai shelter, Soldotna shelter, Homer shelter—as well as taking cats from Dutch Harbor and other outlying areas. And what we’ve learned is that the system is broken. In almost every case, any criticism of the public shelter, no matter how careful and helpful, will result in being blacklisted. This applies to adopters as well as to rescues.

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group in Southcentral and Kenai Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need and finding them happy homes. We rescue cats from shelters in Mat-Su, Houston, Dutch Harbor, Kenai, Anchorage and Homer; we also take in homeless, sick, and injured strays as well as colony cats that need to be moved. These cats are placed in foster homes until they can be adopted out to loving forever homes. We operate a "Barn Cat Project" to help find homes for colony cats, and strive to reform local shelters to provide more humane treatment for animals. We have no paid employees.

We have placed more than 1,700 cats since 2009
