Our boy Marky, a blue lynx sepia Ragdoll cat.

The lynx, an ancestor of the house cat, is a carnivore, meaning it exclusively eats meat. This is why Blue Buffalo uses a meat-rich recipe for their Wilderness cat food.

Archie is an adorable male Seal Lynx Point Ragdoll cat living in Chicago. What gorgeous blue eyes!

Snows are also known as Seal Lynx Point, Seal Mink and Seal Sepia. Seal Lynx Points have Siamese cats in their ancestry, so will always have blue eyes, whereas the Seal Sepia was derived from Burmese and will never have blue eyes. A Seal Mink has both Lynx Point and Sepia genes so the eyes can be any colour, though they will never be as bright blue as the Lynx Point’s.

This is because the American Cat Fanciers' Association refers to a Siamese-type cat with lynx markings as a Lynx ColorPoint Shorthair.

Confusingly, the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy in the UK calls the same kind of cat a Tabby Point Siamese.

The CFA list six different kinds of Lynx ColorPoint Shorthair – Seal, Chocolate, Blue, Lilac, Red and Cream.

The GCCF lists ten types of Tabby Point – the six listed above, plus Cinnamon, Caramel, Fawn and Apricot.
