The Ben Franklin Crafts store in Webster Groves will close soon due to a decline in sales and an increased rent. Webster University increased the property’s rent because the rate was below market value, said Greg Gunderson, Webster University vice president and chief financial officer. Ben Franklin had three locations in the St. Louis area: Webster Groves, Tesson Ferry and Eureka. The Tesson Ferry location closed more than a year ago. The Eureka location is still open.
