Humane Animal Rescue is proud to offer Camp Rescue at both our wildlife center and East End shelter locations Humane Animal Rescue is proud to offer Camp Rescue at both our wildlife center and East End shelter locations! Camps serve to educate children about the wild animals that surround us, as well as the companion animals living in our homes, in an engaging and fun way! We believe it is our responsibility to teach younger generations about the habits and habitats of the animals who call Pennsylvania home, whether the be domestic or wild. Children attending Camp at our Wildlife Center will have the opportunity to learn about the science behind wildlife rehabilitation and meet some of our live educational animal ambassadors, and kids at our shelter’s camp will expand their knowledge of pet care and the challenges that shelter animals face.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Humane Animal Rescue. Our volunteers are the key to the success of our shelters. Committed volunteers socialize, walk, groom, showcase, and cuddle the homeless animals entrusted to our care. They also show animals at offsite locations, work special events, and expand their knowledge of animal behavior. On a very limited basis, we can occasionally accept project volunteers who prefer to only commit to a single day of service as a group, or individuals who prefer to dedicate their specialized skills and expertise in ways that do not involve animal handling (such as clerical work, fundraising, seasonal gift wrapping, maintenance, data entry, surgical instrument sanitizing, retail store help, and greeting visitors).
