Almost Home Adoptions for rescued cats (Almost Home) is a no-kill, private 501c3 nonprofit, cage-free rescue and adoption center. Almost Home does not receive government funding (tax dollars) like the municipal (kill) shelters receive, and therefore we depend on generous and caring individual donors and volunteers to keep our doors open. Almost Home is dedicated to finding loving, responsible homes for rescued, homeless, and abused animals.

FEE-FREE CATS: Adoption fees for all adult cats 2 years of age and older, and several younger cats, have been sponsored by generous supporters! The Erie County SPCA (ECSPCA) implemented a "free over three" adoption policy for cats three years and older in December 2009. Since then, 1,213 cats have been adopted through the program, compared to 923 adoptions in the previous 14 months - almost 300 more cats finding permanent homes!

The recipient of the certificate may then come to our Adoption Center and, contingent on approval, select a cat or kitten to take home.
